small groups @ PMLC

At Preston Meadow Lutheran, we  nurture our faith by being authentic in relationship and relying on God's Word together.   Small Groups allow us to discover richer connections with each other and our faith.

Grow Groups happen during our adultConnect hour on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:30am.   Group members meet in Grace Hall and focus on the Scripture texts for the weekend.   It's a quick hour to connect with your faith, God's Word, and each other.  Join us this Sunday to see what they're all about!

Womenconnect

The WOMENCONNECT group helps women in the congregation connect with each other, their faith and a variety of outreach opportunities.  Often going on a retreat once a year, this group hosts fellowship events and outreach activities throughout the year.  They have also adopted a special outreach project called Agape House that provides shelter to women and children escaping abusive homes and preventing homelessness.

Menconnect

The MenConnect group is a large group for men that hosts fellowship and outreach events for all the guys in the congregation.  Events include trips to the ballpark, visits to local breweries for beer/bible trivia, and hosting a golf tournament to benefit youth mission trips.

crossroads

Crossroads is a large group for adults of the empty nest age and beyond that meets spiritual, social, and service needs for this active group of the congregation.  Monthly events include spirituality conversation classes, progressive dinners, and outreach in the community including leading a monthly communion service for a nearby assisted living center.

stephen ministry

There can be trying times in life: loneliness, grief, illness, job loss, divorce, relocation, changes with transitions in roles (like becoming empty nester), and the like.  Preston Meadow Lutheran Church is a Stephen Ministry congregation, offering confidential, Christ-centered care to those going through difficult times.

Stephen ministers are trained lay people who have completed more than 50 hours of course work dedicated to providing distinctively Christian one-to-one care to others.
