Contemplative Prayer is a form of praying that allows a person to dwell in the presence of God that is always available to us.
While much of our prayer time with God may take the form of petitions -- little things we ask of God like health, help, and guidance -- contemplative prayer is a chance to dwell with God by using different techniques to quiet our minds and bodies. A person engaged in contemplative prayer may reflect on a passage of Scripture, look at artwork, listen to music, or focus on your breath to draw them deeper into prayer. We keep a journal and record any thoughts and inspirations we've had in our time with God.
We have put together this resource page as way to aid you with your prayer life so you may have a deeper connection with God through your faith. Please reach out to any of the ministry staff if you would like further instruction or a conversation partner to talk with you about your experience with God.
